About.
I have extensive experience in organic chemistry and chemical biology. My research included complex synthesis, proteomics, and cell culture. During my tenure as a researcher, I published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals, presented posters and seminars at conferences, and gave many group meeting slide show presentations. I understand the need for a final pair of eyes to review your writing.

Susan Wiedner, Ph.D.

Susan earned her PhD in synthetic organic chemistry at the University of Michigan in 2009. She then began a three-year postdoctoral position in chemical biology at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as a Linus Pauling Postdoctoral Fellow. In 2013, Susan took time away from research and discovered a passion for editing. Always an avid reader, Susan notices punctuation, grammar, and spelling mistakes. Susan completed proofreading training and continues her copy editing education with the Editorial Freelance Association. Since 2019, Susan has been copy editing and proofreading complex documents in the materials science, chemistry, and microbiology fields. Susan has extensive experience working with multilingual authors. With her experience, Susan will catch the errors in your scientific or technical text.

Susan's time at PNNL as one of the first Linus Pauling postdoctoral fellows was highlighted by four publications, three as lead author. Her research helped set the stage for the growth of chemical biology research at the lab. Susan is an excellent writer, having written and edited all of her primary authorship manuscripts. In addition, she was highly active in helping others in the group with their writing and oral and poster presentations. I strongly endorse Susan for her editorial skills at SciTech Proofreading.
